Designer Neeta Lulla and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali purchased approximately 600 saris from all over Kolkata; Paro’s extraordinary character was born.

Different sarees were mixed to create each look of Paro. The drape is also an important part of the appearance, because the sarees are usually 6 meters in length, but the length of the sarees designed for Paro is 8 to 9 meters.

Neeta Lulla designed this work. Before creating the entire crew of this film, the designer conducted extensive research on the clothing, jewelry, fabrics and everything of the Mughal era.

She used rich brocades and silk for the Jodha character.

The bridal attire Aishwarya Rai is wearing here is red, the color of every Indian bride. Lehenga has embroidery of Zardozi, Kundan, and gota work. She is wearing chokers, multi-layered neckpieces, Matha pati, etc. The color scheme of the costumes is chosen as per the Mughal era.

This elegant, timeless Muslim bridal look by Anuskha Sharma is from the movie Ae Dil hai mushkil.

Here Anuskha Sharma is wearing a Manish Malhotra piece weighing around 17kg. The lehenga had red, pink, peach, and golden colors on it.

The most distinguishing part of the lehenga was the long trail dupatta. The choli had heavy thread work done on it.

It was accompanied by a polka set along with a Jhummar; essential for a Muslim bride. And to go along with this was a nude makeup look with a low-key bun and kohl eyes.
