ALOE VERA FACE MASK

Why Aloe Vera?
Aloe Vera has many therapeutic properties. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and anti-oxidants. Because of all these ingredients it treats skin problems and is even effective in healing wounds.
Aloe Vera is also effective in slowing down the skin’s aging process. It helps the skin retain moisture and also accelerates collagen production.
In summer our body tends to get more dehydrated, as most of the water is lost in the form of sweat. Aloe Vera is the best of the summer season as it helps your skin to hydrate by retaining its moisture.
DIY Aloe Vera Face Pack
Note: For this pack, you can either use the pulp of Aloe Vera and grind it to make a thick paste or you can also use Aloe Vera gels found in the market.
- Step 1- Take 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera pulp paste or gel
- Step 2 – Add a pinch of turmeric to it
- Step 3 – Mix it well and apply an even layer of it on your face
- Step 4 – Leave it for 3 to 4 minutes, then wash it off with normal water
TOMATO MASK

Why Tomato?
A weekly dose of tomato can be very beneficial for our skin at these summer times. They are easily found in every household kitchen and have numerous health benefits. Tomatoes are rich in lycopene which have photo-protective properties, hence protecting your skin from sunburn. Applying tomato on skin can help you de-tan your skin while at the same time protecting its skin from harmful UV rays.
DIY Tomato Face Pack
- Step 1 – Take one tomato and make a puree of it
- Step 2 – Apply this puree all over your face and neck
- Step 3 – Leave this on till it is completely dried up (about 3 to 4 minutes) and then wash it off with cold water. This will instantly brighten up the skin.
ALMOND MASK

Why Almond?
One of the ancient beauty ingredient, almonds have proven to have many long-term health benefits if consumed on a regular basis. Being a rich source of Vitamin E, it nourishes skin, hair and body. It gives you clear and glowing soft skin.
DIY Almond Face Pack
- Step 1 – Soak 4 – 5 almonds overnight in milk
- Step 2 – Next morning peel them off and make a paste of almonds in the milk
- Step 3 – Apply a thin layer of it on the face and neck at night and wash it off in the morning with normal water.
Use this mask for a radiating glow on the face every alternate day.
Gram Flour Face Mask

Why Gram Flour?
This is flour made from chickpeas. It is rich in carbohydrates, protein and fiber.
This is also a very old treatment used in Indian households for treating many skin problems.
It contains zinc, which helps in the prevention of acne. Hence, this is a great home remedy for eliminating pimples, acne or any other skin breakouts.
Gram flour also acts as a great exfoliator. It removes dead cells from the skin. Also, gram flour face mask is good for oily skin, as it absorbs all the excess oil on your face.
DIY Gram Flour Face Pack
- Step 1 – Take 2 tablespoons of gram flour, 2 tablespoons of curd and a pinch of turmeric.
- Step 2 – Mix them properly.
- Step 3 – Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of water if required, to get the desired consistency.
- Step 4 – Apply it to your face and neck region. Leave till it dries up, then wash it with normal or cold water.
- Caution – Don’t leave it for too long as it may cause wrinkles on your face.
SANDALWOOD & ROSE WATER FACE MASK

Why Sandalwood?
Use of Sandalwood is highly recommended by Ayurveda during summers. The soothing and cooling properties of sandalwood heal rashes, cures sun tan etc.
It also contains ample amounts of antioxidants which act as an anti-aging element reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Also with its natural skin whitening properties, it makes the skin naturally radiant.
DIY Sandalwood Face Pack
- Step 1 – Take one and half tablespoons of sandalwood powder
- Step 2 – Add rose water to it to make a thick paste
- Step 3 – Once you have achieved the desired consistency; apply it to the face and neck area. Leave it for 15 minutes
- Step 4 – Rinse it off with normal water
